Sharon Topnik

 

Sharon graduated from RRC in 1985 and started working at Transcona Vet at its inception in the fall of 1987.  She is known as the Transcona Vet cat whisperer among her colleagues.

Crista Hnytka

 

Crista started at TVH in 1997 as an assistant, while taking the Veterinary Technician course at RRC where she graduated with honours in 1998.  She loves all aspects of her job as a Registered Veterinary Technologist.

When she is not at work, she loves spending time with her husband and 2 kids travelling the country, doing martial arts, and rushing from arena to arena for hockey and other school sports.

Laurie Polson

 

Laurie started working at Transcona Veterinary Hospital in 1997.  During the summer she enjoys going camping with her family.  Her favorite dog breeds are shelties and border terriers.

Marisa Siragusa

 

Marisa graduated from the Registered Veterinary Technology course in 2001 and came to Transcona Veterinary Hospital right after graduation.  She loves her career caring for animals and their families.  Marisa is just as busy outside of work as she is at work - taking care of her two teenage boys and being a soccer/basketball/volleyball mom!

Kim McCarthy

 

Kim graduated in 2007 from the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Robertson College, which propelled her into taking and graduating from the Registered Veterinary Technician program in 2015.  She has experience volunteering with one of the local rescues in Manitoba and an interest in wildlife, especially birds of prey.

Megan Thompson

After working as a Veterinary Office Assistant at Transcona Veterinary Hospital for 5 years, Megan went into the Registered Veterinary Technician program at Red River College and graduated in 2017.  Her favorite aspect of her job is watching interesting surgeries and providing TLC to patients in need. She enjoys Japanese culture and watching anime in her spare time.  Her weaknesses include ice cream, cakes, and bulldogs.

Montana Pearce-Beirnes

Montana graduated with honours from RRC in 2019.  She worked briefly at Bridgwater Veterinary Clinic before joining our team in 2020.  Montana enjoys various forms of art, including graphic design and illustration.  She also designs her own costumes as a hobby.
