Dr.Karen Skakun

Dr. Karen Skakun was raised in Winnipeg and enjoys her close proximity to family and friends. Dr. Skakun graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1998 and joined Transcona Veterinary hospital in 1999. Karen is a valued doctor in our practice and has a gentle, understanding manner about her. She became a partner in the practice in 2004. Karen has a keen interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine, especially oncology and endoscopic work. She is presently developing her skills in more advanced orthopedic prodecures. Karen is the proud mother of four children and when you don’t find her tending to her busy practice life filled with numerous cases, you will find her at home chasing after the kids and managing a busy household.
